ATTENTION, PARENTS & PLAYERS!

It's time to send in your tax credit donation: 
Tax credit forms and information can be obtained on the boosters page.  Be sure to write your son's name on the bottom of the form before giving them to supporters.

Baseball Angels: Shopping for the families will be done at Kohl's and Target on Wednesday, December 3. The players and any parent drivers should meet at the football field at 3:30 pm. We will go to Native New Yorker to wrap the presents afterward. The baskets for the families will be assembled at the Cron's home at 6 pm on Monday, December 8. We will be delivering the gifts at 3:45 pm on Thursday, December 11. Thanks to Olga Klem and Linda Cron for organizing this!

Casino Night: Be sure to attend this fun event at the BAR Studio on December 12. Details are contained on this Casino Night flier. The players will be helping to set up after school and to clean up at 10 pm.

Home Run Derby: The alumni home run derby is scheduled for Saturday, December 13 from 10 am - 1:00 pm on the varsity field. Watch for more information later.

Pride Baseball Golf Classic: The date of our golf scramble is quickly approaching. It is scheduled for Saturday, January 24, 12:30 PM at the Club West Golf Club. Check out the

Congratulations
to Kerry and Coach Buck on the birth of their daughter, Parker Kori Buck. Parker was born on 8/30/08 at 9:49 am; she weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz and was 20 inches long. Here she is:




MPHS 2001 alumnus Joe Mather has made it to the Major Leagues, playing for the St. Louis Cardinals!! Watch his ESPN top ten play. Check out his online player card. You can even email him your congratulations!  Read the latest article in our local newspaper.  Here is a photo of the scoreboard at Chase Field when Joe played for the Cardinals against the Diamondbacks:

2008 Season Results:
Congratulations to the varsity team for their success in the state tournament, making it into the state semifinals. It was a great run!! Here are the complete 5A, Div. I playoff results. 
Congratulations also to the varsity players who made All Central Region teams and 1st Team All City (CJ Cron, Ryan Klem, Derek McCawley, Nick Lira, and Brayden Falk), to CJ Cron for being selected for the AZBCA (coaches) 5A All State team, and to Derek McCawley and CJ for being named to the AZBCA South 5A All Star team.  CJ was also named to the AZ Republic's 5A All-State first team and to the 5A All-Tribune second team. CJ also played in the Coca Cola Academic All Star game on June 8 in Surprise.
